Dolly Sods, Fall
We went up to Dolly Sods for the day about ten days ago and spent the night in Highland County at a friend's place. David hiked and I got to paint on the Bear Rocks trail about a mile down the path. I am also working on a painting from a photograph that is larger from a different view. 18" x 24" oil on canvas, framed, $475. SOLD

Blue Ridge Parkway Rain Coming
The Blue Ridge Parkway is north of Floyd and this is from the overlook near there. While I was painting about a month ago, a storm came across the valley, I was painting as fast as I could . . . but the funny thing was, a storm BEHIND me approached and drenched my canvas, palette, and me in no time at all!
24" x 48" oil on canvas, framed, will be at the Crozet Art Festival, $1,250 SOLD

Summer at Grace Estates
I AM BACK!
I haven't posted in a long time, long story short, had trouble with the site and my lack of understanding of the problem. Covid too was difficult for us. But I was painting all along, with friends who drove separately, set up easels in hearing distance, and that got us all through the hard times!
I will be posting mostly paintings that are available, but a few that have already sold. Thanks for being there with your support and friendships!
Painted at Grace Estates this summer, love the evening light! 30" x 40" oil on canvas, framed $1,250.

Mountain and Peach Blossom
Another Chile's Peach Orchard from when they were in bloom last month. I really love the mountain behind these trees, so just focused on those elements plus the sky. These are the mountains that are right by my house and I see year-round on my walks. The low part is Jarmans Gap which the Appalachian Trail goes through, and we hike sometimes. 12" x 24" oil on canvas, framed $300 SOLD

Coronavirus Therapy: III
Chile's Peach Orchard this spring has been so gorgeous, I really tried to get out almost every day! This one I think I actually painted first, so they are out of order, which I don't think really matters. I was with my friend Chloe that day, looking east to the mountains. 11" x 14" oil on canvas, framed, $225 SOLD

Coronavirus Therapy: Painting I
I know I haven't posted in a long time, with all that has been going on, I am guessing we all have been preoccupied! My two weapons of defense are to paint and to do yard work, both of which I have been seriously involved with. I hope you all are well, staying home and finding your way through this new world of ours! The peaches are no longer in bloom, but I got out several times with friends to paint the glorious BLOOM! A small one here, 8" x 8" oil on canvas, framed. (NFS: I am trading this with an artist friend.)

The CHSO String Ensemble has been invited to perform at the Lisbon International Youth Festival and will also be playing at a few other venues during the trip.
