Blue Ridge Parkway III, VA

I painted on the Blue Ridge Parkway last week and had a great time, I went back a second time to finish it up. I like lining up the painting with the mountains . . . the proportions are never the same in a photograph as when you are outside with the view. The first day the sky was brighter, so I stuck to that. Will take this to Wintergreen for the Labor Day Show, 24" x 48" oil on canvas, framed, $1,250  SOLD

Veritas Vineyards View, Afton, VA

This spring I painted at Veritas Vineyards in Afton with a few friends, but I don't have any photographs of us together, unfortunately. The mountain behind the vineyard is where Wintergreen Resort is with skiing in the winter months.  24" x 30" oil on canvas, framed, $775   SOLD  Thanks Kyle & Margaret Ann

Field & Bales, Ivy, VA

One of two painting I did today with Susan Baker in a large field in Ivy on Owensville Road. It was fun and easy when it was cloudy and cool but then the sun came out and it got HOT! Went over to Chloe's for a nice dip in her pool afterwards! 12" x 16" oil on canvas, framed,  SOLD

Little Red Shed, Blue Grass Valley, VA

I got to paint my favorite little red shed along the road in Blue Grass Valley, VA the last weekend in June. The weather wasn't cooperating but we managed to paint most of the weekend by finding locations with shelter from the rain. 11" x 14" oil on canvas, framed $225   SOLD

Here are three of us (plus the owner, Patti) on Saturday night, as you can tell, we ate really well! Thanks ladies for coming out and having fun!

Fog & Rain, Adirondacks

We all went out to paint in the rain while at Paul Smith College, it was fun and challenging . . . 100 wet painters. Some more prepared than others, I fared pretty well, but next time I will take a longer thicker rain coat! I felt this painting was a bit of a break through, and enjoy remembering that day painting with the mist.   9" x 12" oil on board, framed NFS.
