House Mountain, Lexington

Painted this last month with three other friends that live in Lexington and we try to paint together a few times a year. They got permission from a friend to paint from their property and this gorgeous view. If you know Lexington, House Mountain can be seen from many locations. It was a gorgeous day, thanks to Elizabeth, Jean Marie, and Lorr. 12" x 36" oil on canvas framed, $485

Blue Ridge Parkway, Fall

Painted this recently with my friend Lee up on the Blue Ridge Parkway at my favorite location, a bend in the road, looking down on Rockfish Valley! I love the way the Sue-Mac turns red in the early fall before the color comes out. I will go back up again soon since the colors have all changed now.  24" x 48" oil on canvas, will be framed,  $1,250    SOLD

Mountain Path

I just found out that Hot Cakes in Charlottesville is closing by the 1st of November. I was going to have an art show there this December. The owners have been VERY supportive to so many local artists over dozens of years, and like other artists, I am deeply sorry to see them go,  . . .
for their gourmet food, fine coffee, and fabulous atmosphere.
Thank you, Kieth & Lisa!

The above painting is from two combined photographs and painted in the studio.
It is 24" x 36" oil on canvas, framed, SOLD

I am also working on a painting from a photograph that is larger from a different view. 18" x 24" oil on canvas, framed, $475.  SOLD

Blue Ridge Parkway Rain Coming

The Blue Ridge Parkway is north of Floyd and this is from the overlook near there. While I was painting about a month ago, a storm came across the valley, I was painting as fast as I could . . . but the funny thing was, a storm BEHIND me approached and drenched my canvas, palette, and me in no time at all!
24" x 48" oil on canvas, framed, will be at the Crozet Art Festival, $1,250   SOLD

Summer at Grace Estates

I AM BACK!

I haven't posted in a long time, long story short, had trouble with the site and my lack of understanding of the problem. Covid too was difficult for us. But I was painting all along, with friends who drove separately, set up easels in hearing distance, and that got us all through the hard times!

I will be posting mostly paintings that are available, but a few that have already sold. Thanks for being there with your support and friendships!

Painted at Grace Estates this summer, love the evening light! 30" x 40" oil on canvas, framed $1,250.
