This summer a friend and I painted one late afternoon at Chiswell Vineyards that has such a great view of Humpback Mountain. This painting was done behind my house of my neighbors back field, in late October. Mint Springs is our Crozet local receation park that has a playground, many trails for hiking and this pond for swimming + a fishing pond below. Painted this Plein air with a friend at Foxhaven, Jane Heywood's garden, which is part of UVA. These are known as resurrection lilies or spider lilies. This painting is 24" x 24" oil on canvas, framed, $650. I am saving it for a large show at the McIntire School of Commerce, UVA in January.
