Painted this week with V-Anne in Greenwood on Pony Express Road where this nice old ash tree lives by the creek. The daylilies wherein bloom which is why we picked this spot. Sad that the ash boar is killing all the local trees. We have several on our property that will die this year, I am sorry to see them go!
16" x 20" oil on canvas, framed $375, SOLD, thank you, Deanna!
Painted this with two friends this spring when the dogwood trees were in bloom. It seems a long time ago! Chile's Peach Orchard last year planted rows of young new trees, which is what is across the road from where I painted. They are growing very fast! 12" x 24" oil on canvas, framed in VA cherry wood, $300.
Painted last week with two friends, Chloe & Barbara. Sorry, I don't have photos of their work too, always interesting to see what we each come up with. It's easy to social distance when we are outside painting!
9" x 12" oil on canvas, framed $175. SOLDThanks Beth!
Meg West went to Philadelphia College of Art, majored in Graphic Design, and minored in Painting. After working for several years as a graphic designer, in 2000, she started painting again full time.
West paints as a localist, focusing her painting in Albemarle and surrounding
Counties, as well as Skyline Drive and The Blue Ridge Parkway.
Meg paints every day and enjoys the rhythm and momentum that comes with a steady flow of painting. The act of painting is what is important-enjoying the feeling of being connected to the environment, herself and the painting.
