Mountain Path

I just found out that Hot Cakes in Charlottesville is closing by the 1st of November. I was going to have an art show there this December. The owners have been VERY supportive to so many local artists over dozens of years, and like other artists, I am deeply sorry to see them go,  . . .
for their gourmet food, fine coffee, and fabulous atmosphere.
Thank you, Kieth & Lisa!

The above painting is from two combined photographs and painted in the studio.
It is 24" x 36" oil on canvas, framed, SOLD

Dolly Sods, Fall

We went up to Dolly Sods for the day about ten days ago and spent the night in Highland County at a friend's place. David hiked and I got to paint on the Bear Rocks trail about a mile down the path. I am also working on a painting from a photograph that is larger from a different view. 18" x 24" oil on canvas, framed, $475.  SOLD

Distant Nelson County View

Painted this from a friend's photograph in Nelson County. This is my artist's interpretation of it!
I love the fog and feel of the distance it all brings. 30" x 40" oil on canvas, framed    SOLD at the Crozet Festival

Blue Ridge Parkway Rain Coming

The Blue Ridge Parkway is north of Floyd and this is from the overlook near there. While I was painting about a month ago, a storm came across the valley, I was painting as fast as I could . . . but the funny thing was, a storm BEHIND me approached and drenched my canvas, palette, and me in no time at all!
24" x 48" oil on canvas, framed, will be at the Crozet Art Festival, $1,250   SOLD
