Cowpasture River, Bath County

Painted this last month while having a wonderful time with friends @ adult art camp, my seventh time at Camp Mont Shenandoah in Bath County. The river is my favorite part to paint, 16" x 40" oil on canvas, framed $800  SOLD

They open the camp up to artists for the weekend before the counselors and kids come, letting the chief practice on us! Always have a wonderful time!

Just finished this painting and will be taking it up to the Wintergreen's 4th of July Show this weekend. From Camp Mont Shenandoah artist's weekend in June, fun just being by the river all day. Morning Fog, Bath County, VA

Jefferson Pool House, Warm Springs, Bath County, VA

This fall I went with several paintings friends and painted at the old Jefferson Pool Bath House. This is in Warm Springs and is a fun place to paint especially in the fall. We plan to go back . . . but today I finished this in the studio, since it was rainy all day.  11" x 14" oil on canvas framed, $250

Painted this in Bath County with friends after we camped out for the weekend. This is in Hidden Valley State Park where we camped and next to Hidden Valley B & B that my husband and I stayed last year. This area keeps bringing us back! 12" x 16" oil on canvas, framed  $285.

Fall Colors, Bath County

Had a wonderful time at Bath County painting with Elizabeth, Jenny, Susan and Noaa as we camped out for two nights and painted as much as we could. Two 8" x 10" oil on canvas framed paintings, $150 each.

Unfortunately, Sunday morning I had a mild stroke, and didn't know it at the time, until much later in the week. After 8 1/2 days in the hospital I am resting and expect a full recovery in due time. I am looking forward to getting back outside to these fall colors before they are all gone.

I went to Art Camp for grown-ups two weeks ago and had such fun with 12 other ladies staying at http://www.campmontshenandoah.com/ a girls camp that for 20 years, has opened their arms to artists for a weekend before the counselors and girls come . . . and they feed us too! Fun staying in a screened in cabin, in bunk beds! . . . 24" x 36" oil on canvas framed, $950, SOLD

Study of the Cowpasture River

This was painted before dinner on Friday afternoon when I went down to see the river for the first time while being at Camp Mont Shenandoah for the artist retreat. The water was way up since it had been raining and the little beach where the tree in the foreground is, was barely visible.  8" x 10" oil on canvas, framed  $145, SOLD

Just got back from the an artist retreat at Camp Mont Shenandoah on the Cowpasture River with about 20 other artists. Great folks, wonderful food and FUN time by all. We dodged the rain, had wine and cheese over looking the river each night, and enjoyed each others company. Thanks to all! This is my interpretation of a river bank but eliminated some of the trees . . . 16" x 40" oil on canvas, framed, $665.  SOLD thanks Mary!
