Maupin's Farm, White Hall

This is one of those farms I paint every year because I love this scene with these mountains and farmland. I was out about a month ago with Susan & Chloe, a warn sunny day in February. Fall, White Hall, VA

I took a painting that I did last winter back to the same location this past fall and changed it to the fall colors. I had never done this before . . . but had fun making it a different season. 24" x 36" oil on canvas, framed $950

White Hall, Virginia

Maupin's Farm, White Hall, VA

 

Painted this last week with my friends V-Anne and Noaa, on a hot day, but we managed to stay in the shade. We were in the cemetery at Mount Moriah in White Hall, just north of Crozet. I paint there a few times a year from different spots. 12" x 24" oil on canvas, framed $300, SOLD Thanks Martha!

Grace Estates Vineyard, White Hall

March Field in White Hall, Virginia

March is a fun time to paint because it is between seasons. The red tops of the maple trees are coming out and yet the grasses aren't greening up yet. It was a windy but warm afternoon. 24" x 36" oil on canvas, framed,  SOLD thanks Barbara!

Last night after dinner I went up to White Hall to see if the bales where in the field and got to paint till dark. I have been working on it all day and will tweak it a bit more later on.  24" x 46" oil on canvas, will be framed, $1,100   SOLD

Riverdale Farm, White Hall

Summer Cemetery

Susan and I painted in the White Hall cemetery last week in the late afternoon, (not sure of the name of the church). We both found some shade, I under a tree on this road to the East of the cemetery.

Riverdale Farm I

(I have been corrected, this is Riverdale Farm, which is right next door to Midway Farm, thanks Page!) . . . We painted outside today b/c it was 68 degrees!
