Several of us gathered at Chile's Peach Orchard on Sunday for live music, picking strawberries and of course plein-air painting! It was packed with families and fun . . . even though it was very overcast. I did two paintings and this being the first one, 12" x 12" oil on canvas framed, $175. Here are a few photos from our little town of Crozet with trees down all over. Here are a few photos from our little town of Crozet with trees down all over. SOLD
Meg West went to Philadelphia College of Art, majored in Graphic Design, and minored in Painting. After working for several years as a graphic designer, in 2000, she started painting again full time.
West paints as a localist, focusing her painting in Albemarle and surrounding
Counties, as well as Skyline Drive and The Blue Ridge Parkway.
Meg paints every day and enjoys the rhythm and momentum that comes with a steady flow of painting. The act of painting is what is important-enjoying the feeling of being connected to the environment, herself and the painting.
